Why this struck me as funny, I'm not quite sure. I guess it's just the thought of someone purchasing and placing a plastic version of a deceased member of the water fowl family on their lawn. The idea is to scare off the live version, thus keeping your precious garden in tip-top shape and free of duck or goose shit. Never mind the morbid means to the end. The makers note that they are effective deterrents for golf courses, parks and office complexes. What a lovely image that would be when you're out for a casual stroll or entertaining that big account at your company headquarters. Oh and they float too.
