Titanique @ Broadway Playhouse Chicago….

Last night Stuart and I went to see Titanique at the Broadway Playhouse in Chicago’s glitzy Downtown.

The musical is a parody of the 1997 film "Titanic," retelling the story from Céline Dion's perspective.

Céline Dion must have been busy at Eurovision last night as we got her understudy 😂😂😂

In the show Dion claims to have survived the Titanic's sinking and offers her unique perspective on the events.  The show features Dion's greatest hits, including "My Heart Will Go On," "All By Myself," and "To Love You More," creating a jukebox musical experience.

Everything is wildly hilarious, bursting with nostalgia, heart, and campy chaos.

While based on the Titanic film, you don't need to have seen the movie to enjoy the show (Stuart hadn’t), as it's a separate comedic experience.

The musical includes show-stopping performances, powerhouse voices, and a live band, offering a theatrical voyage of nostalgia and comedic twists.

Titanique incorporates pop culture references (P Diddy, Dua Lipa, Trump) and odes to the 1990s film, adding a modern layer to the story.

We enjoyed it. Although having never seen Ru Paul’s Drag Race one section had us rather baffled. 😂.

They missed a trick not punning lip-syncing / lip-sinking though! 🫦🛳️🛟

Worth seeing.
