Last night Stuart and I went to a delightful carol service at St Marylebone Parish Church in London's glitzy Marylebone.
It was being held by my old college Trinity and featured the world-class Cambridge Alumni Choir.
We enjoyed a wonderful evening of uplifting Christmas music and a lot of heartily sung carols.
That heartiness was perhaps somewhat enhanced in our particalar pew by our very large hip flask of Japanese whiskey that we had smuggled in.
