The Drowsy Chaperone...


On Friday night Stu and I went to the Novello Theatre to see The Drowsy Chaperone starring Elaine Paige. Written by fans of musical theatre, about fans of musical theatre and for fans of musical theatre. I have to say we weren't impressed. It was a bit of a one joke show. Maybe we just weren't in the mood. It was all very vaudeville. Very razzmatazz. Very trying-too-hard. Apparently it had transferred from Broadway. Hmmm. Lost something in translation me'thinks.
Best bit: It was short. No interval.
Worst bit: The second half
