Polish trains are very good; punctual, cheap, clean, they give you bottled water, and often have a restaurant/bar (where the beer is refreshingly strong 7%).
Before you even board they are very specific about where you need to be on the platform while you wait for your train to arrive:
“Please wait on Platform 2 / Track 1 / Sector 2 for Carriage 11 / Seats 75 & 76”And not only that, but once onboard they are equally informative. Perhaps too informative:
“This is the 07:55 IC 144 train to Mockava. We regret to inform you we are running a little over 25 seconds late. Please accept our apologies for any disruption caused to your journey today.”
