Yesterday I took a ferry across Cape Cod Bay over to Provincetown to dance around in the sunshine with a buzzing LGBTQ+ crowd and chat to many a smiling stranger at the iconic Sunday Boat-slip Tea Dance. The sun was out. 🌞 The guns were out. 💪 I even got chatted up! 😉
It was fabulous, bringing back fond memories of being there with the boys a while back and also with my sister a few years ago.
Then I made a hop and gay skip up the road to another great PTown institution - The Crown and Anchor - to watch our favourite drag queen Dina Martina’s summer show.
DM was hilarious. I had tears of laughter flooding down my face. Mispronunciation on a Dickensian scale, she told surreal stories, and murdered the classics; Big Country, Martika, The Cure, John Paul Young, Kenny G, and a New Order medley all got her unique treatment.
A wonderful day out.
