Brighton 1 - 1 Arsenal...

Sometimes a draw feels like a loss, because we second-placed Gunners had really needed a win yesterday to gain some ground on Premier League leaders Liverpool.

The @gaygooners had been full of excitement at their pre-game meet-up but any optimism was soon extinguished as we approached the ground and saw the ridiculously long queue to get in the away end.

In was cold, it was wet, and standing in the rain is not a good way to start any match-day experience.

The game itself was fun. Well, initially. End to end stuff. And an early opener from 17-year-old Ethan Nwaneri gave we travelling fans some reason for hope.

But then a frankly bizarre penalty was given for a head-clash between William Saliba and Joao Pedro  which saw the latter score the equaliser for Brighton.

There were lots of boos. Referee Anthony Taylor then seemed to be against us for the rest of the game. Free kick after free kick awarded to Brighton. None to Arsenal. Tosser.

Onwards and up with my friends.
