Our mini trip to the south of France took us today to the region Occitanie and beautiful city of Nîmes. Stunningly preserved 2000-year-old Roman buildings, friendly people, and a lively street life; we were enchanted.
The brilliant white limestone Roman temple, the massive double-tiered arena (still in use for concerts and bullfights!) and the fountain gardens were all marvellous in the November sunshine.
