Bayeux Tapestry @britishmuseum…

Earlier today, Stuart and I went to marvel at the fabulous Bayeux Tapestry at the British Museum in London’s glitzy Bloomsbury.

70m of embroidery, 10 colours, and 50kg of wool. Taking 3 years to make by Kentish nuns sewing Aesop in the margins for fun, the panels show 623 men, just 3 women, 190 horses, 37 ships, 35 dogs and 93 penises all waging a war of succession for the English throne.

Harold’s arrow? Probably added in the 19th century.

History has never looked this good.
