Madonna - The Beat Goes On...
You heard Madge's new single yet? A co-lab with Pharrell Williams. I'm not very impressed. Maybe it'll be a grower. On and on the beat goes, on and on the beat goes etc etc. I hear we can expect her next LP to be an R&B album featuring Felix da Housecat, Timbaland and Timberlake.
UPDATE: Oh dear. I dreamed about this song last night. So looks like it's in my brain already. Curses!

"Let's do something different", eh? It just sounds like any other r'n'b crap in the charts. I can't help thinking that this is just a leaked demo version and not the real deal. Either way, "Into The Groove" it ain't (but what is?).
ReplyDeleteNo, indeed it is not. But then I always get disappointed when I hear her new stuff and then end up loving it. Apart from American Life of course.
ReplyDeleteBut..., but..., but "American Life" was fantastic! The hilarious rapping or the over-the-top video with little war-torn girls. And surely you liked "Nothing Fails", which could have easily been from the "Like A prayer" album. Like you, I´ve also seem to have changed my mind about the new song though, i´ve been humming it all weekend, even though I hated it at first. If she puts more instrumentation on it and gets rid of the abysmal "let´s do soemthing different" lines, I can seee it being huge.
