Dallas : England 4 - 2 Croatia…

Darce & I were lucky enough to find ourselves in Dallas Stadium’s Trophy+ hospitality lounge to watch mighty England take on Croatia. 

Booze, food, & front-row seats. It couldn’t have been better. 

And our boys in white did us proud. 

England attacked like team in hurry. Kane scored twice, Bellingham surged through midfield with purpose, & Rashford applied late polish. Croatia kept asking awkward questions but England had all right answers by end.

Seattle: Boeing Future of Flight ✈️

Yesterday Darce and I took a trip north of Seattle to visit Boeing and take a tour of the factory, marvel at the airplanes, and visit the museum. 

It was great fun and perfect for a massive plane enthusiast like Darce.

We saw Boeing’s latest aircraft, the Boeing 777X series, rolling (albeit slowly!) off the production line.

Its distinctive folding wingtips allow the aircraft to use standard-sized airport gates despite its massive 235-foot wingspan. It’s the first time hinged wingtips have been integrated into a commercial airliner certified for service.

Seattle: Space Needle…

Just before the match, Darce and I hopped on the monorail downtown and headed skyward aboard Seattle’s iconic Space Needle.

Standing 605 feet tall and built for the 1962 World’s Fair, this slice of retro futurism still looks like it has landed from another planet. The observation deck offered spectacular panoramic views across the city, Elliott Bay, Mount Rainier and beyond, while the revolving glass floor added a little extra ‘excitement’ by seeing exactly how far up we were. 

Not for the faint hearted. Very much for the view seekers.

Seattle : Belgium 1 - 1 Egypt…

Emam Ashour’s rocket had Egypt dreaming of history in Seattle. Belgium’s equaliser arrived courtesy of Egypt’s Mohamed Hany, who inadvertently became their most clinical finisher. 

One point each. Egypt delighted. Belgium relieved.

Great to spend time with some of the extended GG famlam too. 

World Cup delivers again.
