Friday night Stuart and I went to see Ilford Boy at the Donmar Warehouse in London’s glitzy Seven Dials. Danny Lee Wynter’s queer family drama serves up 80s and 90s Ilford with chaos, laughter, tough love and delightful Essexisms. Well written, subtle, sharp and witty. A coming of age story with proper heart.
