High Society @ Barbican Theatre….

Last night Stuart and I went to see High Society at Barbican Theatre in London’s glitzy Barbican Centre.

Cole Porter’s fizz arrived slightly flat. Helen George @helenrgeorge and Julian Ovenden @julianovenden looked the part, but the whole thing felt oddly underpowered and about twenty minutes too long. Lovely enough sets though, and @barbicancentre still knows how to make a musical feel expensive.
