Day 11 : Costa Rica and Panama…

Right down on the lower west Pacific coast of Costa Rica is a peninsula called Osa.

Osa is as beautiful and lush as it is remote. And on the tip of this remote peninsula is a South Pacific paradise called Bosque del Cabo Lodge.

If you like ocean views and private surroundings (we do) you’d be in the right place. Bosque del Cabo perches on an out-of-the-way clifftop within its own large forest reserve, complete with 8 nature trails and even a suspension bridge. We’d heard it is one of the best locations on the Osa Peninsula for watching jungle wildlife come and go, and we’re expecting to see monkeys as well as scarlet macaws, toucans, coatis, agouti, and sloths.

We were lucky enough to secure ourselves a stunning cabin secluded away from other buildings so we had stunning ocean views - oh and a hammock, and a four-poster bed! This was to be home for the next three days.

And as we settled into our cabin just by the veranda we saw a scarlet macaw pair feeding 🦜🦜 , spider monkeys 🙈🙉🙊 playing in the trees, and a coati 🦝   They were right about the wildlife!
Bliss.
