Yesterday Stuart & I wandered through 2500 years of history & climbed the Acropolis of Athens with its sweeping views across the city & out toward the Aegean Sea.
It is dominated by the Parthenon, the crowning monument dedicated to Athena, the city’s patron. A proper wow moment.
We also explored the Propylaea, Erechtheion, Theatre of Dionysus Eleuthereus, & Temple of Athena Nike.
We wrapped up our culture vulture day at the Acropolis Museum & wander through the lovely old world Plaka.
Great fun.
