What some happy news?
I met with my (well respected) financial advisors last week.
Their firm opinion for the next two years?
The Bank of England is raising UK interest rates so high and so fast (four more rises to come they reckon) in order to precipitate a mini recession. The Bank’s plan is simple - to squeeze money so tight that people simply stop spending it. Some people will default on their mortgages, some people default on their loans, house prices will fall, rents will go up, some people will become homeless, and some will struggle to feed themselves.
Why do it then? The reasoning they want to try and stop people spending money in their tracks is simply to bring down inflation. They see inflation as the biggest evil.
