Jury Duty @ Theatre Deli "It was bit like a real-time Line of Duty murder mystery with all the twists and turns"

Last Saturday night Tammay, Richard, Stuart and I went to see (take part in?) immersive theatrical experience Jury Duty at the Theatre Deli in the glitzy City of London.

Award-winning Jury Duty started life as an online show during lockdown but has now morphed into a real-world show. And great fun it is.

The premise is: "Under the Justice Act (2021), you have been summoned as a juror for a new kind of trial. You and your fellow jurors must review the evidence, speak to the accused, and conclude; is he guilty or not guilty? And is there more to this case than meets the eye?"

So, working with live actors, as players we inspected physical evidence, searched police databases, questioned the defendant, and had to decide upon his guilt as a team. And it was great fun. It was bit like a real-time Line of Duty murder mystery with all the twists and turns.

Could we you work out what happened that fateful night? (Sort answer: yes, we did.) So we celebrated by going out for dinner.

The show was created by Tom Black and Joe Ball (in collaboration with Megan Louise Clifton, Sofia Romualdo, Karolina Soltys, and Tom Williams) and produced by Edward Andrews, Ellie Russo, and Exit Productions.
