The Fantastic Four (1994 unreleased)...

When I was younger I used to love The Fantastic Four comics. I don't know what it was about them, I just used to love them. Was it because they were scientists? Did I want to be Dr Doom? Or maybe secretly I fancied The Human Torch!

When the Fantastic Four films came out I was really excited. Well, excited until I'd actually seem them. Then disappointed. The 2005 version, 2007 Silver Surfer follow up, and particularly dire 2015 reboot version just didn't seem to capture the essence of the comics.

Well, today I've been watching them all again in order - and my opinion hasn't realy changed. Still disappointing.

So as a treat I also watched the campy, B-Movie version produced by low-budget specialist Roger Corman. It's cut from the same spandex as 1960s Batman. It is probably my favourite of the lot!
