Last week Stu and I went to see Once In a Lifetime - Motown Legends Live at Wembley Arena. It was a bit of a dotch potch of Motown acts touring once again to plunder the pockets of nostalgia hungry crowds (i.e. us).The night's running order was JR. Walker’s All Stars, The Miracles, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, Mary Wilson and the Supremes, and The Commodores.
We'd basically gone to see Martha and Mary. The former failed to meet expectations. The latter exceeded them. The rest were frankly poor.
The evening was well put together but ultimately failed to deliver.
Shame.
