Trinity College, Cambridge Alumni Carol Concert @ St Marylebone Parish Church...

Last night Stuart and I went to a delightful carol service at St Marylebone Parish Church in London's glitzy Marylebone.

 

It was being held by my old college Trinity and featured the world-class Cambridge Alumni Choir.

 

We enjoyed a wonderful evening of uplifting Christmas music and a lot of heartily sung carols.

 

That heartiness was perhaps somewhat enhanced in our particular pew by our very large hip flask of Japanese whiskey that we had smuggled in.

10th Anniversary gaygooners Xmas Party ...

Well, where to begin?  Thank you, thank you, thank you for everyone who worked so hard and donated so much to make the 10th anniversary gaygooners Xmas Party go with such a swing at the Victoria Tavern on Saturday night.  There was laughter, food, drinks, music, celebrity guests, and prizes galore! 

 

And thank you too to everyone who turned up! The was crowd positively humming with excitement.

 

It was also Regenersaurus Rex's first ever home game and first Xmas party so he was particularly excited and put on his Santa outfit especially. He even managed to get a photo with also everyone one in the room. But sorry if anyone got missed out. The little dinosaur minx!

Arsenal 2 - 1 Wolves…

A strong start from Arsenal yesterday saw Saka score after 6 minutes and Ødegaard after 13. We were on for another 6-0 thriller, right?  Not quite. Sadly the game rather mellowed after that.

 

The tension did kick in towards the end though when Cunha pulled one back for Wolves and extra time seemed to go on for ever. My teeth started chattering at that point but it was probably more due to the freezing weather rather than any nerves.

 

Still, we held on and are (currently) well clear at the top of the table.

Wimpole Xmas Lights 2023...

Last weekend Myrtle, Karen, Simon, Joanna, Angus, Stuart, Charlotte, Jos, Manning, and I went to the National Trust's Wimpole to see the Xmas Lights and then on to celebrate Simon's big birthday

Lots of sparkly, glitzy fun. Hot chocolate and mulled wine too!
